Blog Entry: 14 : And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, 15 : Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. 16 : And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. 17 : Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. 18 : And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 : Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 : And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21 : Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. 22 : And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: 23 : And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry. The world doesn’t understand faith. They don’t understand that the beliefs of the Christian are based on faith. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We have faith that there is a God that created the world. We have faith that Jesus is the divine Son of God, born of a virgin, that he lived a sinless life, that he died on the cross for our sins, that he rose from the grave on the third day and that he will come back again someday. We have faith that the Bible is the word of God. We have faith that our lives are in his hands and that he knows our needs and that he provide for our needs not our wants. We have faith that he is with us through the storms of live. That he is with us through the good times and the bad. That he will lead us in the path that is right for our lives and our family’s lives. Whatsoever we asked of the Father we have to have faith that he is able to do all things and that he hears us and cares and loves us. And Jesus says if we have faith we can move mountains. Satan fears our faith because he knows with faith in God we will overcome his evil desires and his evil plans. As the Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. The Christian that doubts the Bible, doubts God does so because they lack faith. How can we increase our faith? The Bible says that faith comes from hearing the word of God. If you don’t have a close relationship with God then your faith will be weak. Study his word daily, pray often, put your cares upon him because he cares for us that is how you get close to God and the closer you get to God the stronger your faith will be.
