I have to tell you that I am really dragging.  The last couple of days have been so full.  I have been at a conference dealing with working with At-Rish Kids which is what I do in my full time ministry.  The conference was not a Christian conference, but a conference of various governmental agencies in Harris county.  It was extremely good but long, long, ummm.... long days.  I got a lot out of it but I am so glad that it is over with.

 I was surprised as I received an award that I was not expecting.  Every year, they give an awrd to several people that is called the "star" award and you are nominated by someone and it is based on your work with AT-Risk kids then a committe decides on who all gets the award.  There were several who received the award from verious agencies across the county, but I do feel honored to not only have been nominated, but to have also been selected.  I will treasure this as much as when Barbara Bush (wife of Pres. Bush. 41) gave me her autograph saying that I was one of "Geoge's Points of light". I was extermely honored when she gave me that,  even though Mrs Bush gave that to me personally and signed it in front of me, the Star award today has a greater meaing and appreciation to me.  I will sleep well tonight and (Lord willing) awake another day to continue to minister to these lost and confused children of God.
