Rebirth with an Eagle
Posted On 07/07/2008 08:16:25 by bunyanbabe
The eagle has the longest life-span of it species. It can live up to 70 years. But to reach this age, the eagle must make a hard decision. In its' 40, the long and flexible talons can no longer grab prey which serves as food. Its' long and sharp beak becomes bent. Its' old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, become stuck to its chest and makes it difficult to fly. The, the eagle is left with only 2 options. Die or go throught a painful process of change which will take 150 days. The process requires that the eagle fly to a mountain top and sit on its nest. There the eagle knocks it beak off against a rock until it plucks it out. After plucking it out, the eagle wait for a new beak to grow back and then it will pluck out its talons. When it new talons grow back the eagle starts pllucking its old-feathers. A 5 months, the eagles takes it famous flight of rebith and lives another 30 years.

Now you say why is change is need? Many times, in order to survive we have to start a change process and we sometimes need to get rid of old memories, habits, and other past traditions. This is a way to free ourselves from past burdens and we can take advantage of the new life.

So we can do the same, just by accepting Jesus as your Savior.  Just a simple prayer with a
sincere heart.
A new birth with his amazing GRACE.
