When I was a kid, I was into all the comic books, TV shows, movies etc. that had superheros.  I think it was because the "Good guy always won" and good conquered over evil.  That is the message of the Gospels too, "Good conquers evil".  Even in the westerns you had the heros in the white hats that beat the bad guys.  Again, good over evil.

 I was and still am a major Batman fan.  I mean the Batman of the 60's.  Don't care for the new modern Batman that is so dark.  I watch them though our of loyalty to "My Batman".  I was really into batman as a kid.  Had my cape and everthing and would ride around on my bike, saving the world.  I have several Batman paraphenila even today hanging around.
