Calvary Baptist was where by sister, brother and many friends went when we were in elementary and middle school....back in the 50s! Much Bible study, a conviction on baptism and its importantce to salvation changed this dyed-in-the-Baptist traditions to the church of Christ. (Acts 2:38). Someone once told me if I could deny what was written there to get the scissors and cut it out of my Bible. Still took me a while as it is so hard to change. Have a great

To some it sounds strange to say "Good" Friday for the day our Lord was crucified. It is truly good for this act of sacrifice opened the gates of Heaven to all who want it. It is good for we know it was a day that the enemy thought he had won, but just did not know that Jesus was to overcome death with Eternal Life. So this is the day the Lord has made and it is Good, so let us rejoice and be glad.

Deacon Dan contacted me here in Houston, Texas to say someone from Dothan is a member. He knows I grew up in and out of Dothan, my mother, sister and many family members still live there. When I visit "home" I attend services at the Honeysuckle Road Church of Christ. Welcome aboard this site. I am sure you will find Christians to connect, and possibly study with.
